Mag István, assistant director
He has been working in various Hungarian theatres, at the Hungarian television, Duna Television, Hungarian Radio, Filmfactory since 1973 as assistant director. Nowadays he works as assistant director at Vidámszínpad.

Rimóczi László, screenplay-writer
Decadent Freehand alias Lezművek proved his versatility at a very young age. In 2006. he won Nisimasa (international application for screenplay writers). Presently he is working on his next book, and writing articles.

Ganczer Sándor, indipendent filmmaker
He has been making movies for 30 years. Founding member of the Közgáz Visual Brigade. He was executive secretary of the Association of Indipendent Hungarian Filmmakers for 8 years. He worked in more than 70 films as director, camera-man or actor.

International Jury


Eva Kis-Bocz, Head of the Film Department in Duna Televízió since January 2007. She is working for 4 Years as programming editor, programme buyer for the hungarian public satellite channel, which was founded in 1992 with the mission to serve all Hungarians abroad. She is selecting finished productions - feature films, documentaries, animation, short films, series - and she's  responsible for the acquired film programme.

 

Csaba Bollók made independent short movies on S8 and 16mm techniques before he graduated as a film- and television director in 1994 at the Hungarian Film Academy. Continued his film studies in the United States in 1993 and 1997. His shorts made in coproduction with Béla Balázs Stúdió won several prizes abroad in the nineties. He made his first feature, NORTH BY NORTH (Észak, Észak)  in 1999, and received the Critics' Best Debut Prize that year. His latest movie, ISKA'S JOURNEY (Iszka utazása) won Main Prize at the Hungarian Film Week 2007.  It had its world premiere at the Berlinale and was recently awarded at the European Film Festival in Brussels.  Still believes that the source of filmmaking is more from the spirit than from the budget.


Jean-Pierre Sougy -48 years old, living in Lyon (France)-, is a director of several documentaries and since 1999 is the artistic director of Inattendus' festival, an underground films festival.

Przemek Młyńczyk (born in 1966) film and television director, graduate of FAMU Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (Czech Republic), Department of Feature Film Directing (1989). He continued his education at the Columbia University, Actors Studio in New York and at the Television Academy of Arts & Sciences in Los Angeles in 1991.

Wolfgang Leis, Co-Director of the Velvet Hammer Branding consultancy, which everyday job it is to make people communicate better with each other. Was in Hungary first in 1981. Prefers globism over globalization, partying over gaming, live music over DJs, film over TV.

Student Jury


Kovács Ágnes (23) Miskolci Egyetem
She has an eye on making documentaries. She is crazy about films. Once she organizes exhibitions, other times she is a sociologist.

Polyák Barbara (23) Kodolányi János Főiskola
Every film gives her a new feeling, and the more kind of feelings she has, the more time she would like to spend with films.

Györösi Zsófia (21) - Károli Gáspár Református Egyetem
The main editor of the university paper, wants to be a  journalist. Beside films she adores the impressionism, and the good books.

 
Samuelis Ladislav (22) - Eszterházy Károly Főiskola
The student, born in Kassa, watches films, and publishes about thoes in uplands newspapers.

 Veres Attila (21) - Pécsi Tudományegyetem
Obsessed film-watcher and comic strip consumer. He tends to perceive the good parts in every artwork.
