THIRD CONSECUTIVE YEAR WE HAVE AN ACADEMY AWARD CHANCE
I was just preparing for our Tallinn presentation on 23-January, when they were announcing the Academy Award finalists on television, so I surely kept one of my eyes on the event, knowing that our former jury member Ildikó Enyedi's movie has also a chance to be nominated. So when they said On Body and Soul, it was no doubt we should start the evening presentation with this breaking news story. Tamás Orosz director of the institute told us that the movie is already being on screen in Estonia, so when we noticed it's poster on the corridor, started proudly pointing to it and repeated the nomination news over and over again. In short animation category we saw some that were also showed at BuSho, like Garden Party and the student jury category winner Negative Space. But we will be more excited for the success of On Body and Soul in March, which will compete with the following pieces in best foreign language category: The Insult (Lebanon), The Square (Sweden), Without Love (Russia), Une mujer fantastica (Chile).
