BUSHO BREAKING NEWS 2016/5. --- OCTOBERRY

  WHEN THE BUSHO IS OVER

After the festival “they pack their stuff and leave for home” like everyone else. This is when the most spiritual part kicks off, that is the accounting and administration at their peak. Had the public known what phases an event goes through before those few days are set when everyone happily – or unhappily – can take their seat in the screening room to enjoy the essence… well it wouldn’t change probably anything, I just wanted to say something big. Always look on the bright side? Ok, let’s do that way: We were astonished all the way long during the festival. But what happened afterwards was the top of the cake. Everyone can see this, as we put our reference book and a making of video on a plate for you as well as our photo gallery to enjoy.

  HA A BUSHONAK VÉGE

A fesztivált követően “véget vetnek a zenének, hazamennek a legények”, meg mindenki más is és kezdődhetnek az egész fesztivál lebonyolításának leglélekemlelőbb pillanatai az elszámolások és az adminisztrációs csúcs! Ha a közönség tudná, hogy pontosan milyen fázisokon megy keresztül egy rendezvény, mire összeáll az a néhány nap, amikor mindenki boldogan (vagy boldogtalanul), de beülhet a terembe és élvezheti az esszenciát, hát akkor sem történne másképp semmi, csak biztos valami nagyot akartam mondani. Hogy mindig nézzük a napos oldalt? Rendben, mehet: A fesztiválon egyik ámulatból estünk a másikba és tetőfokára hágott az élvezeti hányadosunk, de ami ezután következett, az pedig csak a hab a dobos torkán! És ennek most mindenki utána járhat, mint a mesében, mert szeretnénk nektek tálcán átnyújtani mindazt, ami ebben az esztendőben történt a fesztiválon! Fogadjátok szeretettel az idei referenciafüzetet valamint a werkfilmet, végül, de utolsó sorban pedig a képgalériát, amelyek között mindenki csemegézhet kedvére! 

  EUROSHORT FESTIVAL NETWORK

It’s only Sofia left of the schedule of the 2016 Euroshort Network, because even the flagship of this serial Forli did their part already, featuring the Hungarian participant Sty of Ottó Hermán. The turning point will be Sofia where they will announce the 2017 selection including the Hungarian nominee. There is one more thing we await this festival with great excitement that is BuSho has the privilege to make the corporate identity of the Network for next year. According to this our graphic mates made their effort and their proposal works went into a selection process by 10 members of the BuSho team. Their anonym voting named the winner that will be sent to the HQ of the Network and it will be shown in all 9 partner festivals next year. We’d like to show you the best works: came third Dániel Pucz with 27 points, second: Attila Incze with 34 points whilst the winner is Ákos Zeleny making 39 points. He also won a participation in the exchange program in Slovenia in November.

  EUROSHORT FESZTIVÁL HÁLÓZAT

A 2016-os menetrendből már csak Szófia van hátra, hisz legutóbb az Euroshort Hálózat mozgató rugójának számító Forliban is lezajlott a fesztivál, ezen belül természetesen az Euroshort vetítési is, köztük még a tavalyi magyar delegálttal, azaz Hermán Árpád, Ól című alkotásával! A fordulópont pedig Bulgáriában lesz, ahol nyilvánosságra hozzák majd a 2017-es válogatást, köztük majd az új magyar jelölttel is. Azonban még egy dolog miatt várjuk kiemelt figyelemmel a fesztivált “A Palotában”, hiszen a BuShonak jutott az a megtiszteltetés, hogy a jövő évi arculatát biztosítsa a Hálózatnak! Ennek megfelelően felhívást tettünk közzé grafikus ismerőseink körében, végül pedig a BuSho team 10 tagja anonym szavazás keretén belül választotta ki azt a pályaművet, melyet elküldünk a központnak és a jövő esztendőben mind a 9 partnerfesztiválon megjelenik majd. A legjobb alkotásokat szeretnénk nektek is megmutatni: a 3. helyen végzett Pucz Dániel alkotása 27 ponttal, második let Incze Attila munkája 34 ponttal, a legjobbnak pedig 39 ponttal Zeleny Ákos rajza bizonyult, ezáltal megnyerve a kiírás fődíját, részvételt az egy hetes novemberi Ifjúsági csereprogramon Szlovéniában.

  AUTUMNIUM

The most exciting part after the festival is when we make our selections of the bests, as well as of the Hungarian ones to be sent out to the world. This time through Balassi Institute these pieces will be delivered to 24 different Institutes and partner festivals where they will decide if putting them on screen or not. The few who already take this great opprtunity are i.e. Indian Institute where we will appear in co-operation with Delhi Short Film Festival. The other, not-so-far venue is in Ljubljana, Slovenia where the date is not yet set, but we will visit the workshop in Trbovlje Youth Center in mid November despite, as the LIFFE will also take place there on that week. The most enthusiastic team were the Turkish though. The co-operation with them is going back years now and still flourishing. we will hold presentation in Izmir on the first week of November and in Istambul at Universal Kids festival at the end of the month. The 28th International Short Film Festival of Istambul will be held in December and 13th Akbank Short Film Festival next March. Beside the festivals screenings will be held throughout Turkey in several Universities, and we do hope that we can get along with other institutes as well in the future just like the one in Stuttgart next May with whom the negotiation is ongoing.

  ŐSZISZÉL

A fesztivált követő időszak valóban izgalmas része, a lezajlott esemény legjobbjainak kiválasztása, majd a legjobb magyar alkotások eljuttatása a nagyvilágba, ezúttal a Balassi(?) Intézeten keresztül 24 magyar Intézetbe és számtalan partnerfesztiválra is, akik majd eldöntik, hogy műsorra tűzik vagy sem. Minden esetre akik rácsaptak a kivételes lehetőségre, azok többek között az Indiai Intézet, ahol elvileg a Delhi Rövidfilm Fesztivállal kooperálva jelenhetünk majd meg. Másik, nem olyan távoli Intézet Ljubljanából jelentkezett, ahol még képlékeny az időpont, de mi a Trbovlje-i Ifjúsági Központban november közepén megtartandó workshop kapcsán biztosan ellátogatunk a szlovén fővárosba, főleg, mert a LIFFE is pont ezen a héten zajlik majd. A legnagyobb elánnal azonban kétség kívül a Török Intézet munkatársai vetették magukat az együttműködésbe, melynek eredményeképpen az utóbbi években megkezdett munka nem bushosan busásan meghozza gyümölcsét! Először November első hetében Izmirben prezentálunk majd, aztán november végén a Universal Kids fesztiválon Isztambulban. Decemberben ugyanitt a 28. Isztambuli Nemzetközi Rövidfilm Fesztivál következik majd jövő márciusban a 13. Akbank Rövidfilm Fesztivál. A fesztiválok mellett különböző Egyetemeken lesznek még vetítések Törökországban és reméljük idővel a többi Intézettel is sikerül majd megtalálni a közös nevezőt, mint ahogy május elején Stuttgartban folyamatban van.

  "ACCEPTING ME" – A SHORT FILM FOR A SAFER SOCIETY

Recognize the reality through the feelings and minds of a child with autism. Talk about it and be a game changer. We know what to do if a person in a wheelchair needs our help or how to assist a blind person using a white cane. People on the autism spectrum have no such visible disability. Most of us do not know how to recognize them, or how help them. For an autistic person our knowledge, compassion and empathy can provide such an aid. In spite of their unconventional behavior in some situations, their dreams and aspirations are the same as anyone else's. To provide an autistic person with a safe environment, we need to create an accepting society.

"Accepting me" (please find English subtitles in settings) tells the story of a bond formed between a boy on the autism spectrum and his wheelchair bound classmate. The film was not intended to be educational material about autism, rather it was created to inspire a dialogue in classrooms between educators and students, parent groups, and for all wishing to understand people on the autism spectrum, and people with disabilities in general. The film is available on YouTube, it has a Facebook page and it is accessible for everyone without restrictions. We hope it finds and touches a lot of people.   SORSFORDÍTÓ KISFILM

Csaknem 2 évvel ezelőtt határozta el egy csapat, Dicső Dániel rendezővel (Romance - Molnár Piroska, Jordán Tamás; Irma te édes - Balázsovits Edit, Tóth Enikő, Józan László), hogy a gyerekközösségek részére, autista társaik könnyebb megértése és elfogadásának elősegítése érdekében érzékenyítő beszélgetésre alkalmas, témaindító kisfilmet készítsenek. A képi megjelenítés és hanghatások a gyerekek részére is érzékletesebben, érthetőbben teszik láthatóvá a furcsa viselkedés mögött meghúzódó okokat, egy elsőre “láthatatlan” problémát, fogyatékosságot. A történet megtekintésével a téma befogadhatóbbá válik a számukra és személyes élményeiket, kérdéseiket is könnyebben megfogalmazhatják, beszélgetnek róla. Magyarországon jelenleg nincs más hasonló érzékenyítő jellegű és témájú kisfilmes alkotás. A Sorsfordító kisfilm vetítésére és az elfogadással, a másság megértésével kapcsolatos közösségi beszélgetések elindítására, fontosságára szeretnék felhívni a társadalom figyelmét, valamint, hogy a gyerekközösségekben, így iskolákban valódi esélyt kaphassanak az autizmus-spektrumzavarral élő gyerekek is a beilleszkedésre.

  MEDIAWAVE 2017: REFORM(ATION) OR RE-FORMATION?

The 500th anniversary of reformation as an honourable event is worth to look at with our mediawave-tools concentrating not only on the cultural-historic and religious aspects of reformation but also on the new possibilities coming from all-time reforms and renewing processes. Reform is obviously an ecumenical expression: each religion has its own reform tend.

Where is the theme from?
When I mentioned this theme to our photographer colleague, Péter Pettendi Szabó, he instantly came up with rows of unique ideas even better characterising our „Gathering”. Then the other staff members also added their thoughts and that was the moment I felt that the special theme of 2017 is an impressive, varied and peculiar topic just like the „Wall” two years ago. This year, we will announce various calls for proposal in different art fields: film, architecture, fine art and others. The usual historic conference is going to be held as well. The theme is supposed to be a challange for film makers, too. We expect films that present reforming and renewing endeavours of any groups or religions or stories of restarting people and reformed walks of lives. We still look forward to the reformers of film expression. We also gladly welcome the anti-globalisation and environmental conscious reformers as well as the cultural propagators with new approaches.

  MICE FILM FESTIVAL 2017 IS CALLING FOR ENTRIES

Fifth Mice Film Festival will take place in Valencia, other Valencian cities amd Madrid (Spain) from February 19th to 26th, 2017 with the viewing of the selected short films. Awards Ceremony will be held on Sunday February, 26th in Valencia. At present, there is no other specific international educational film festival with "professional / adult" and “made by kids / youth” sections. Mice is a film festival oriented to children and youth in Spain, so it is a big challenge for us, given the economic circumstances in which we find ourselves in our country. Around 12,800 people attended the events of MiCe in 2016. PLEASE DO NOT SUBMIT FILMS TO SECTIONS "MADE BY KIDS" OR "MADE BY YOUNG" IF YOU ARE OVER THAT AGE. Submit to the professional section.
