for the 100th anniversary of the birth of Bohumil Hrabal (28 March 1914)
We would like a sho®t!
The Czech Center of Budapest and it’s partners announce a short film tender for the 100th anniversary of the birth of world wide famous Bohumil Hrabal. They accept shorts that was made for the occasion and/or also archive which presents the life, work or style of the famous writer in a genuine way. No category restriction, fiction, animation, experimental, music video and documentary are all welcome! Jiří Menzel the also world wide famous Czech director will contribute to the announcement of the details of the competition, who had a very good friendship with the Maestro that was reflected in many of his feature films. The international jury will also include other public figures, writers, actors and directors who had some sort of links to Hrabal.
The following awards will be announced on the prize ceremony in march 2014:
- main prize: €1.000.-
- a weekend for two in Prague / Budapest
- Czech style beer-dinner in Prague / Budapest
- a barrel of beer
- package of Hrabal’s books in Czech, Hungarian and English

„Vladimír és Bondy és én annyira szerettük a sört, hogy amikor az elsőt az asztalunkra tették, hát hárman megrémisztettük az egész kocsmát, kézzel leszedtük a habot, bekentük vele az arcunkat, a hajunkba dörzsöltük, mint a pajeszukat cukros vízzel kenegető zsidók, a második sörnél megújráztuk a habos kenegetést, úgyhogy már messziről csillogtunk és illatoztunk a sörtől. Bár diákos csíny volt ez, főleg a sör iránti rajongásunkat és a belőlünk feltörő fiatalság lelkesedését fejezte ki. Sörjampecek voltunk...”

Kérünk egy rövidet!
A budapesti Cseh Centrum és partnerei nemzetközi rövidfilmpályázatot hirdetnek a világhírű Bohumil Hrabal születésének 100. évfordulójára! Olyan, a felhívásra készült vagy archív filmes alkotásokat várnak, melyek az író életének és munkásságának motívumait, az életérzést avagy a stílust dolgozzák fel a legeredetibb formában, kategóriáktól függetlenül, tehát fikció, animáció, kísérleti, zenés video és dokumentum kategóriákban. A filmverseny részleteinek kihirdetésében közreműködik Jiří Menzel, szintén világhírű cseh filmrendező, aki maga is jó kapcsolatot ápolt a Mesterrel, melyet több nagyjátékfilmjében is láthatott a közönség. A nemzetközi zsűriben több, Hrabalhoz kötődő közéleti személyiség, író, színész, rendező vesz majd részt.

A nevezés feltételei
A részletes szabályzat megtalálható a lebonyolító BuSho Rövidfilm fesztivál honlapján, amelyen keresztül majd az alkotásokat be lehet küldeni az online nevezési lap kitöltésével és a filmek feltöltésével!
A legfontosabb kritériumok azonban a filmek hosszával kapcsolatban:
- „Archív”: Hrabal életében, tehát 1997-ig készült alkotások: max 30 perc!
- „Új film”: Hrabal halála, tehát 1997 után készült alkotások: max 15 perc!
Minden filmet angol felirattal kell beküldeni!

Workshop
2013. július 6-13. között kerül megrendezésre a 7. GomBuSho összművészeti alkotótábor, ahol egy külön kategóriában lehet majd alkotásokat létrehozni a HRABAL HABBAL kiírásra! Az itt elkészült alkotásokat egy tematikus program keretén belül mutatjuk majd be szeptember elején a 9. BuSho Nemzetközi Rövidfilm Fesztiválon!
