  12. BUSHO: IT’S A BEGINNING...

As the BuSho fans have come to expect over the years, with the  completion of the archive and the  entry begins for the next season on 1st December. After following the usual minor changes  in the rules  and in the technical parameters of the entries, we are waiting for films in three categories (fiction, animation, experimental) produced after 1st January 2014, with a duration of less than 30 minutes, from all over the world! In addition to our own updated platform - which, in the last season, received the majority of entries for the first time - further options have expanded, such as the SFC (detailed below) i.e. the Short Film Connection! The key dates are listed also on the website as follows:

ONLINE ENTRY PLATFORM OPENING: 1. DECEMBER

  11. BUSHO: MEGKEZDŐDIK A HAJRÁ!

Amint azt már a BuSho rajongók a hosszú évek alatt megszokhatták, ha december 1, akkor az archívummal lezárjuk az aktuális esztendőt majd megkezdődik a nevezés a következő szezonra és ezúttal sincs ez másképp. A szokásos apróbb módosításokat követően a szabályzatban valamint a nevezések technikai paramétereiben tehát várjuk a 2014. január 1. után készült 30 percnél rövidebb fikciós, animációs és kísérleti alkotásokat a világ minden tájáról. A frissített saját platform mellett – melyen a tavalyi szezonban első alkalommal a legtöbb nevezés érkezett hozzánk – további lehetőségekkel bővültünk, mint például az alább részletesen bemutatkozó SFC azaz Short Film Connection! A legfontosabb időpontokat pedig felsoroltuk a weboldalon is a következőképpen:

  LET'S GO TO THE CAVE

The long Indian summer has ended, winter is finally here, one hand, it is time for some retreat, on the other hand it is time to plan, otherwise, this is the period of rebirth for us! Indeed, the registration begins on 1st December for the BuSho International Short Film Festival, but first let me have a little retrospection at the period since the previous festival. The guests were still in Budapest when we were already at the Saint's-day in Gombolyag on 6th September, then on 7th, after a few hours of rest a small delegation traveled to Portugal to the second ESFA Short Film Festival and the preceding TRAILER workshop. After another short rest, we delegated for the second time kids to the 53. Croatian Children Film Festival, hosted this year in Rijeka, and then came the Sedicicorto Short Film Festival. By the way, the first official meeting of the Euroshort Festival Network was in Forli which appears to be the first functioning attempt after many years and a lot of effort. Finally it would have been a festival presentation in Istanbul and Izmir, but the first event was cancelled by the organizers, and the other one was left out by us for some reasons. So now there is nothing left, let`s start again for the twelfth time!

  IRÁNY A BARLAN-GOMBA

Vége lett a hosszúra nyúlt Indián nyárnak, végérvényesen itt a tél, amely egyrészt a visszavonulás, másrészt a tervezés, egyébként pedig az újjászületés fázisa nálunk! December 1-én ugyanis megkezdődik a nevezés a 12. BuSho Nemzetközi Rövidfilm Fesztiválra, azonban egy kis visszatekintést engedjetek meg az előző fesztivál zárás óta eltelt időszakra, mert történt egy s más. A vendégek még Budapesten voltak, amikor mi már a Gombolyagi Búcsúban vettünk részt 6-án, majd 7-én pedig egy kiadós néhány órás pihenést követően kisebb delegáció utazott Portugáliába, a 2. ESFA rövidfilm fesztiválra és az azt megelőző TRAILER workshopra. Újabb rövid pihenést követően második alkalommal delegáltunk gyerekeket az 53. Horvát Diákfilmszemlére, melynek idén Rijeka adott otthont, majd következett a Sedicicorto Rövidfilm Fesztivál zsűrizése. Nem mellesleg Forliban egyúttal az Euroshort Fesztivál Hálózat első hivatalos találkozója is zajlott, mely sok próbálkozás és rengeteg esztendő után az első valóban működő ilyen jellegű próbálkozásnak tűnik. Végül még következett volna egy Isztambuli és Izmiri fesztivál prezentáció, melyek közül az elsőt törölték a szervezők a másodikat mi halasztottuk a vérzivataros helyzet miatt. Most tehát nincs más hátra, mint előre avagy tizenkettedszer is induljon a bonszáj.

  THE ARCHIVE IS COMPLETE

In recent years, it has become a tradition that, after the festival begins a series of self-promoting festival presentations and film clubs with the best artworks, and processing stuffs about the previous festival. In the first round, we always start with the reference booklet, so we can use this immediately in accounting for sponsors; visual delights follows this. To compile the photo album is the smaller problem (you can check them together with the updated posters on the BuShoVision), however, the annual making of is a bit more complicated, but after that, we are always very pleased to serve those who are interested. This year, for the first time, a link has been added to the archive, namely the BuSho News, which was created for the first time; we offer to you with minor faults, at least, now we know exactly, what to do next year. And if you take the trouble, it is worth to visit both of our two YouTube channels, on the BuSho site you can view all spots and others, and our workshop channel contains every movement about the two annual workshops. Not incidentally, I subjoin, next year we organize the 10th GomBuSho Workshop at the end of June, I think you should sign in now, or escape until it`s too late! Have fun!

  IRÁNY AZ ARCHÍVUMBA

Az utóbbi években már tradícióvá vált, hogy a fesztivált követően a legjobb alkotásokkal megkezdődik az önreklámozó fesztivál bemutatók és filmklubok sorozata valamint a lezajlott fesztivál anyagainak a feldolgozása. Első körben mindig a referenciafüzetnek veselkedünk neki, mert ezt a támogatások elszámolásánál rögtön használni tudjuk, majd következnek a vizuális csemegék. A fotóalbum összeállítása még a kisebb feladvány (melyet a frissített poszterekkel együtt a BuShovízióban találhattok) azonban az éves werkfilm már egy kicsit több zűrzavarral jár, de aztán mindig nagy örömmel tálaljuk az érdeklődőknek. Idén még egy linkkel bővült az archívum, még pedig az első alkalommal létrehozott BuSho News hasábjaival, melyeket apróbb hibáival együtt büszkén nyújtunk át nektek, most legalább tudjuk, hogy pontosan mi a teendő. És ha már veszitek a fáradtságot, akkor érdemes ellátogatni mindkét jutub csenelünkre, a BuSho oldalon megtekinthető valamennyi spot és még sokan mások, a workshopska channel pedig mindkét éves alkotótáborunk valamennyi szösszenetét tartalmazza. Nem mellékesen megjegyzem jövőre 10. alkalommal rendezzük meg a GomBuSho tábort június végén, szerintem jelentkezz most vagy menekülj, amíg nem késő :) HevFán!

  12TH AKBANK SHORT FILM FESTIVAL

Building an active platform for the short film scene in Turkey, Akbank Short Film Festival is celebrating its 12th year this year. The festival provides opportunity for the emerging film-makers to showcase their prowess by supporting novel ideas and aims to contribute to the short film culture. It consists of two main sections, namely the National Competition and International Competition. The deadline for applications for the 12th Akbank Short Film Festival is November 30, 2015, Monday. This edition will feature a new section titled "Perspective" for the first time.
